Our Family Tree Logo
The Tree represents the River Red Gum (Eucalyptus Camaldulensis) - one of the largest & most common trees in the Wagga Wagga area.

The Water is the Murrumbidgee River on which Wagga Wagga is situated and where the River Red Gum grows well.

The Revealed Roots represent family history which is all about revealing our roots. River Red Gums growing on the river bank often have their roots eroded and exposed.

The Solid Trunk reflects the objective of the Society to form a solid base with associated resources for the study of family history. Like the River Red Gum which is one of Australia's most durable timbers, it is hoped that the research and resources developed by the Society will endure.

The Branches & Foliage are strong and luxuriant because the River Red Gum grows naturally on river flats where it gets regular nutrition and gives home and shelter to local fauna. Similarly the Society aims to grow large and strong to foster and support family historians in the district.
